I’m so excited to share our farmhouse mudroom with you today! Our home renovations were a big undertaking and commitment but have been worth every headache, every week and every single design decision! Anyone who has ever built or renovated a home knows what I mean about ALL OF THE DECISIONS! It can be a bit overwhelming!
I’m more than happy with how it all came together in the mudroom. Now we finally have a place to come in with our dirty boots and contain the mess from life on the farm.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the before pics and inspiration HERE.
Now for the BIG REVEAL!
Our New Farmhouse Mudroom:
The view from the back door:
This tractor seat light was Dan’s project. I knew I wanted something unique in this space and he sure delivered! I love how it all came together with the shelving and thrifty/antique decor.
It’s now the perfect place to wash up for supper or mix up bottles for baby calves!
My favorite part of the room are the custom doors I designed with our cabinet maker. The barn doors on the laundry area open and slide back inside the opening. I love when laundry is done for the week so I can enjoy the closed doors!
I had Dan build some barn wood shelving inside the laundry closet as well because to be honest the doors have to be open quite a bit so I can get our never-ending laundry done! The inside might as well have character too!
DIY laundry detergent (recipe here).
I continued with the black and white theme in the mudroom because it blends well with our connecting kitchen. (See our farmhouse kitchen reveal here).
We repurposed some of the original hardwood floor from the farmhouse for this feature wall. Used in a new way but still part of this home 110 years later.
This farmhouse mudroom sees the beginning and the end of each work day, welcomes good friends and family, and will carry on the stories from this century farmhouse for many years to come!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you found a little inspiration from this farmhouse mudroom!
