These energy bites are like no bake cookies without all the guilt! So delicious with local honey, natural peanut butter and chocolate chips! Give these a try soon to energize and cut sugar cravings!
I love to throw together these yummy, no-bake energy bites on Sunday evening for a quick snack or treat throughout the busy week. They are so easy to grab on the go and my kids even like them! (Although I do my best to hoard these for myself!)
I find these energy bites handy for so many different occasions and I think you will too!
Craving something sweet mid-afternoon?
Need a quick snack before a workout?
Breakfast on the go? Always on the go?!
YES! You definitely need to give these energy bites a whirl!
You can even change up some of the ingredients for variety. Try peanuts and raisins (instead of walnuts and chocolate chips) for a fun take on PB&J flavors!
Let me know in the comments below if you have other “add-in” ideas!
Tips For Making The Best Energy Bites:
- Choose a natural peanut butter (no sugar added) and use at room temperature. I store my PB at room temp because I go through the jar fairly quickly. If you want to store for longer in the fridge, just make sure you bring it to room temp before using or you’ll be stirring forever! (But then again, maybe that’s a good workout)
- Snag some Local Raw Honey from your neck of the woods! We started buying local honey and swear it has helped with seasonal allergies in our household!
- Store these in the refrigerator! They will set up nicely as the PB chills and be much easier to handle on the go!
- Start where you are! If natural PB and this much flax seed meal isn’t sweet enough for you, start by making these with regular PB and a little of the flax seed meal. Adjust as you like to get started with these whole ingredients. It may take some time for your taste buds to adjust to less sugar and more fiber!
