Sometimes I work from our dining room table. It’s a great place to work other than the distractions out my window. We have a lot of busy bird-neighbors!
I couldn’t help but watch this one couple. I tried my best to snap some photos of them to tell their story.
One bird perched on the old wooden post, hopped along the fence and came upon the birdhouse.
She flew up to the small opening and went inside.
After a few seconds touring the property, she fluttered back onto the fence post, chirping to her husband.
Oh dear… dear?! (You know that sweet tone we use when we want something) 😉
What is it? The husband-bird approached.
You have to take a look at this birdhouse, honey!
She rushed back inside and he followed. He stayed at the door, peering inside the small birdhouse.
“I’m not sure this is enough space for us, my dear.” He flew off.
Once again she made her way back to the fence post as if to say “It’s perfect!”
The couple gathered their things and settled into their quaint farm-birdhouse next door.
And they lived happily ever after! (Because every good story ends like that!)
(Didn’t know I could understand bird-language, did you?!)
Am I the only one that makes up stories about animals? Maybe it’s a lonesome country thing? Haha!
