This post has been a long time coming… now that Ren is EIGHT MONTHS OLD!!!
If you have been following my blog for awhile now you know that Ren’s gender was kept a surprise and we didn’t have a nursery prepared for him beforehand due to extensive home renovations last summer.
Although it took us some time to settle into our home again and get a room prepared for Ren, I’m happy to say I did get it done… before his first birthday! Haha! And in all honesty for those first time expecting moms out there, the room isn’t all that necessary so don’t stress! We survived without a crib or a changing table for about 4 months!
I think we all know the nursery if of least importance when preparing for baby but it is one of the most fun parts of the experience! I remember wishing I had a room to decorate during my nesting phase. Instead I took to Pinterest and dreamt of the space I would one day have for the new baby.
Most of the spaces I originally pinned were very gender neutral and perfect for our farmhouse style.

Then once Ren was born I found so many more ideas to add a touch of BOY to his room.
I couldn’t get this one out of my head. Just love the Frederic Remington artwork!

Little by little I gathered inspiration:
Vintage cowboys, western, rustic and farm touches…

I have to say I took inspiration from all of these rooms but came out with something completely unique to our home. I’ll be posting the finished product on Thursday!
Come back and see me!

I love the wire mesh rack in the third picture. Any idea where it is from?

I’m not sure where it is from, sorry! I feel like I’ve seen some similar things at Hobby Lobby though 😉

Thanks for stopping by Laura! I bought a large rectangular one for my changing pad at hobby lobby. They always have good sales! Hope that helps! 😀

I found the basket. It was on a sight called “Creatively Woven” but I’ve sent 3 emails to her with no results.
