Come along with us as we welcome a newborn bottle calf to our farm this week!
We recently acquired a newborn bottle calf for our homestead! This poor calf was born during a cold spell here in Missouri and its mama didn’t make it through the night after giving birth.
We thought this would make a great learning experience and project for our boys this spring.
Watch as we nurse this poor lil guy to his feet, introduce the bottle for feedings and teach our kids to do the chores… every day… twice a day!

I’m sorry I missed this comment! Since this post we’ve acquired a second calf! We call them Bullseye and Shadow (or at least I do) – the kids change their minds constantly! lol!
