A few weeks ago we took a little weekend vacation to Nashville! This was my second time in Music City and I still loved every minute of it!
You may remember my original posts from my first Nashville experience. You can read those here:

We did repeat some of our destinations this trip but we also experienced some new restaurants, bars, entertainment and even took some tours this time around!
We did a self-guided tour of the Ryman Auditorium: (see tour info here)
It was amazing! I loved it! They show a quick video before your tour with some really interesting history. I learned so much I didn’t know about the Ryman! While the music history itself is quite intriguing, I was also amazed at the intricate detail of the architecture that was carefully replicated in the Ryman today.
Take this balcony for example. This is the original balcony on display and the next picture shows how it looks today. Every detail was given much love in this place! Makes me smile! 🙂
And since Fashion is my passion, I definitely took some extra time admiring all of the famous fashion duds on display! Here is Loretta Lynn’s dress… STUNNING! (Wishing I had one of these whipped up for Halloween!)
Our tour tickets also included The Grand Ole Opry. We stopped by the Opryland Hotel & Gardens on our way. It is a beautiful place too! (And in case you were wondering, Dan & I did not plan our outfits together, haha!)
This tour was really neat too! We had a chance to see the backstage rooms, stage and hear more about the history of the Grand Ole Opry.
Every girl should have a mirror like this! Just makes ya feel like a star! 😉 During our stay in Nashville, we also visited the Belle Meade Plantation.
I was like a kid in a candy store! We were thrust back into the 1800’s as we toured the mansion (this is the only picture – couldn’t take any inside), grounds, stables, cabins, and more on the property. The family that owned this property made and lost their fortune in the horse racing industry. The history is quite interesting – you can read the story or view more photos here.
This photo below was taken in one of the old cabins. The first home built on the property. I would highly recommend this tour! Of course we spent the majority of our time hitting up the music scene in downtown Nashville! Our group even peddled the streets on The Pedal Tavern. It is basically like a bar on wheels… wheels that you have to physically pedal around town. It was a blast! What a fun group! 🙂
It was a fun trip with good friends! And fireworks atop the George Jones Bar rooftop were just the icing on the cake!
What places or sites would you recommend in Nashville?
Thanks for visiting!
