Cream Cheese Frosting
As promised, I wanted to share with you my recipe for cream cheese frosting. This frosting is great on cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies, banana bread, red velvet cupcakes…must I go on? My stomach is already grumbling!
Here’s to another family favorite!
Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c. butter/margarine, softened
- 1 pkg. (8oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 4 c. powdered sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
*NOTE: This makes a large batch of frosting – enough for about 3-3.5 dozen cookies or rolls. Cut the recipe in half when working with smaller batches or keep the left-overs in the refrigerator for 2-3 days to use on quick desserts or breads.
Directions:
- Cream the butter, vanilla and cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar to form the frosting.
- Spread on cookies, cinnamon rolls, banana breads, etc
I recently used this frosting on my easy, mini fruit pizzas.
Butter, cream cheese and sugar… what more could you ask for?!
Have a great weekend all!
