Beer Bread: Easy & Simple Comfort Food

Some days you just need a good, hearty, home cooked meal to fill your belly and your heart. This simple beer bread has to be part of your next comfort food menu!

I love making this beer bread alongside a slow-cooked roast or stew. It’s hearty and buttery with a soft center and crunchy exterior. Hard to explain how scrumptious it is so just trust me and try this recipe!

Anyone can make this bread! You don’t have to be a “baker” to pull this one off!

It’s so simple and I hope your family will love it as much as mine!

Hearty & Buttery Beer Bread

It’s so simple and I hope your family will love it as much as mine!

Ingredients

  • 3 c. Flour
  • 4 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/3 c. Sugar
  • 1 Can Beer (minus one swig) 😉
  • 1/2 c. Melted Butter (That’s correct, one stick of butter!)

Instructions

  1. Mix together the dry ingredients. Then pour in the beer and combine.
  2. Place dough in a greased bread loaf pan.
  3. Melt the stick of butter and pour over the top of the dough.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for about 55-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool for a few minutes then slice into thick pieces for serving.

Notes

Would be delicious served with honey butter too!

NOTE: I find that this bread is absolutely the tastiest when fresh because the top is crunchy and buttery. It will keep for a few days in a sealed container but I definitely prefer it on day one! I like to make it when we have company to share it with!

I hope beer bread becomes a family favorite in your home as well!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you can enjoy this tasty treat this rainy, cool weekend!

THIS WEEKEND:

If you live locally, come see me this Saturday (4/29/17) in Clinton! I’ll be taking out the Rustic Honey Mobile Boutique for a quick pop-up at Pizza Glen Saturday 11-3! It looks like it will be cool and rainy but I promise the inside of the trailer will be worth the trip out! AND obviously Pizza Glen is ALWAYS worth a trip!

Hope to see you there!
