About Me
I was born and raised on a small farm in Missouri. I grew up in a town where there are no stoplights and the cattle population far exceeds the local census. And I wouldn’t have traded it for the world!
Like a lot of country kids, I went off to school, did some traveling and then decided to come back home. My husband and I purchased an early 1900’s farmhouse on a little piece of land near our families. We’ve spent the last six years enjoying our renovated homestead and adding three beautiful babies to the mix!
Rustic Honey began as a college business plan in 2011 for a small town women’s boutique and has blossomed into so much more over the last decade! I now work from home and operate this growing business from my cozy farmhouse office and a small building on our property. It’s crazy here most days but I love it!
When I’m not busy running my clothing business or writing this blog, you can find me sipping coffee, baking something yummy, picking up nerf gun bullets, and opening gates around the farm. All resume worthy, I know!
Random tid-bits about me:
I LOVE old barns! Someday I’d love to restore/rebuild the one on our property!
I’ll sip coffee all day, anytime of year! I get this from my grandma!
Farmers daughter, now a farmer’s wife: My dad row crops (soybeans, corn, wheat) and has a small cow/calf operation. My husband runs a small cow/calf operation on our farm. Farming is his “side-hustle” you could say… although it’s a lot of “hustle” and not so much “side”!
I learned to sew before kindergarten! My grandmother taught me at a young age. She was a professional seamstress and I am forever inspired by her work and her love of fashion!
I was a passionate athlete back in my day! – I was an All-State basketball player in high school and spent one year playing in college before I decided to retire my sneakers.
I asked my husband out first! I know what I want and I go for it! He had no choice! Haha!
Thank you so much for stopping by Rustic Honey!

“For me, nothing beats a star filled sky out in the country! I feel most at home on an old dirt road, riding shotgun in an old farm truck that smells of oil and dust.” – Lauren
