2016 The Highlight Reel

2016 The Highlight Reel

Is it too late to say Happy New Year?!

I feel a little off coming back to the blog after long absences. Especially when I had plans to blog about 2016 a few weeks ago. Hello life in 2017! πŸ˜‰

I decided better late than never because these recap posts are fun to look back on!

2016 The Highlight Reel

A lot happened in 2016 but for some reason it seemed like the fastest year OF MY LIFE! I blinked and I was preparing taxes for my business again! YIKES!

Last year, I got my own line of t-shirts off the ground and RUNNING! After feeling so self-conscious about the launch for weeks I finally just put it out there for the world to see. And boy was I excited to find that my customers loved them too!

I was amazed that people across the country wanted a t-shirt that said Rustic Honey even before they had even shopped with my store! So fun!

I have more plans for the line this year and am excited about a design, being printed as we speak, that is perfect for Valentine’s Day!

On a whim, I bought a trailer in 2016!

I had considered the investment years ago but didn’t really look into anything in depth until an opportunity basically showed up at my door. I love when God works these things into our lives!

You can read all about the mobile boutique here.

In 2016, we also opened a Rustic Honey location inside Studio 119 in Nevada, MO. I love this charming shop on the Nevada square! They specialize in home decor, gifts, paint parties and custom work. If you live locally be sure to check them out soon!

Oh and be sure to shop Rustic Honey when you stop in! πŸ˜‰

I took the opportunity to travel last year too! A friend and I took on Dallas Market in June to shop for the store. I love attending market! Not only is it great to find unique items for the shop but also to recharge and be inspired within the industry as a whole. I always come back more excited than ever about my business… and all the cute things on order!

So what do two young moms do after a day of shopping market in the big city of Dallas?

Unwind in our sweatpants with a solo cup of vino! Oh and get a full nights’ sleep! Maybe this is the real reason I enjoy market trips. πŸ˜‰

We really know how to party!

So enough about the shop and me, me, me! Haha!
